Using Leap Sets - Using Stations - Activating the Current Station

Activating the Current Station

Within a Leap Set one Station is always selected for use. You can choose to activate the currently selected Station at any time as long as the Station has been previously measured or it is the Primary Station. When a Station is active, Alignment Manager uses the transformation data contained by the object to convert your device coordinates into the part coordinate system defined by the Primary Station. Deactivation of the alignment item causes future data to be collected in device coordinates.

To Activate or Deactivate the Current Leap Set Station

  1. Right click on on the RevWorks toolbar, or
    Access Alignment Manager
    and

  2. Right click on at the top of the alignment document tree, or
right click on the current Leap Set item, or
right click on the current Station within the Leap Set.

The alignment item options pop-up menu appears.

  1. Select Activate.

The currently selected item is toggled between active and inactive.

Note: If you are activating a Station after restarting RevWorks and the Station had been measured in a previous session a dialog displays reminding you to consider if the digitizer or part has been moved before executing the activation.

Note: If the current Station has not been previously measured and you choose to activate it a message is displayed stating that the Station is invalid.

Note: To activate a different station you leap between them.

Warning: If you deactivate the active Station any further data gathered from the device is collected in native device coordinates..
