Using Leap Sets - Activating a Leap Set

Activating a Leap Set

To use a specific Leap Set for collecting data from a part it must first be activated. The current Leap Set is indicated by the associated radio button that is currently selected.

To Activate a Leap Set

  1. Access Alignment Manager

  2. Right click on the Leap Set you wish to make active.

The Leap Set options pop-up menu displays.

  1. Select Active from the list of options.

If the current Station of the selected Leap Set has been previously measured it becomes active and the radio button changes to indicate that this is the current alignment item. If not measured, you are requested to measure the Station before continuing.

Note: If the current Station is the Primary Station and there is no alignment object (Datum or Origin) associate with it the Leap Set will become active immediately. The native coordinate system of the digitizer is used as the coordinate system of the Leap Set.

Note: Make sure that your digitizer is set up at the Primary Station location before starting to collect data.

Warning: If you choose to not measure the Station when requested, the action cancels and the previous current item remains the current item, but it is made inactive. If the item were previously active you must reactivate it in order to continue using it in data collection.
