Creating Offset Planes to the SOLIDWORKS Right Plane

An offset plane is parallel to a predefined SOLIDWORKS Plane. You do not have to pre-select a reference plane in order to create an offset plane from a SOLIDWORKS base plane.

To Create an Offset Plane to the SOLIDWORKS Right Plane

   - From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
or from the RevWorks toolbar right click on any displayed Plane icon and choose Offset > Right,
or select Plane > Right Plane Offset from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.

A prompt appears leading you through the data collection steps.

      | | Note: If you change the name of the Right Plane in SOLIDWORKS, the name used in the RevWorks menu automatically reflects the change. |

   - Digitize a point at the location through which you want the offset plane to pass.
RevWorks automatically creates a plane.

      | | Note: RevWorks automatically adds a distance relationship between the newly created plane and the Right plane. You can double mouse-click on the new plane to have SOLIDWORKS display the dimensional relationship. |
