Creating View Planes
A view plane is a plane created at a digitized depth relative to the current model view. This method of plane creation allows you to establish planes based on desirable views of your model. It is a way to easily create arbitrary planes that might otherwise be difficult to construct.
To Create a View Plane
Use the SOLIDWORKS viewing tools to create the desired view of the model.
From the RevWorks toolbar,
select ,
or from the RevWorks
toolbar right click on any displayed Plane icon and choose View,
or
select Plane > View from the RevWorks
menu in SOLIDWORKS.
A prompt appears leading you through the data collection steps.
Digitize a point at the location through which you want the view plane to pass.
RevWorks automatically creates a plane.
