DirectSurf Preferences - Setting Surface Type

Setting Surface Type

 

RevWorks can automatically generate two types of surfaces from collected point data:

  • Curved (NURBS) - Creates a smooth, best-fit surface feature that approximates the curvature of the collected data.

  • Planar – Creates a best-fit flat surface feature through the collected data.

  		•

    Note: RevWorks generates single-patch surfaces and is not intended to create surfaces from data that completely surrounds a body.

To Select Surface Type.

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
    or select     Options… from the RevWorks menu.

The Options dialog appears.

  1. In the Surface tab, select Curved (NURBS) or Planar for the Surface Type.
