Enabling Probe Compensation

 

When you enable probe compensation, RevWorks automatically offsets features by the ball radius of the active probe. You can enable and disable probe compensation at any time.

Warning: Probe compensation can create unexpected feature offsetting results if you start collecting data with the probe tip in contact with the part surface or fail to move the probe more than the Probe Approach Tolerance specified for the current digitizing device.

To Enable Probe Compensation

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, right mouse click .

The options menu for Probe Manager appears.

  1. From the options menu, select Compensation.

A check mark appears next to Compensation in the menu, indicating that probe compensation is enabled.
