Starting Romer Digitizers
Romer portable CMMs do not require any special setup before starting. Once communication is first attempted an arm start-up calibration dialog is presented that displays a set of progress bars indicating which arm joints have been calibrated. You must articulate each joint of the arm until all bars are completed before device communications can start.

Note: The first time you use a Romer device after turning it on, you are presented with the Arm Reset calibration dialog. At this prompt, move the arm in the way described in your Romer documentation in order to activate calibration of each arm joint. Horizontal bars presented in the dialog represent each of the joints of the arm and provide visual feedback on the status of the calibration for each joint. When all joints have been sufficiently manipulated, the dialog closes automatically and the device is ready to use. |
