Creating New Leap Sets
You can create and maintain multiple Leap Sets within an alignment document, though only one Leap Set can be active at a time. When created, Leap Sets contain one Station, the Primary Station, and One Reference by default. You can choose to add to, delete or modify the components of a Leap Set to configure a working environment that meets your digitizing needs. You can make additions and changes to a Leap Set even after you have started using it.
To Create a New Leap Set
Follow the instructions for Creating a New Alignment Item, or
right click on an existing Leap Set item in the alignment document tree.
The Leap Set options pop-up menu displays.
Select New.
The Leap Set object type pop-up menu appears.
Select Leap Set.
The Leap Set type pop-up menu appears.
Select Linear.
A new Leap Set is added to the alignment document tree immediately below the selected Leap Set or at the bottom of the list of existing Leap Sets if none were selected. Information about the Leap Set is displayed in the Alignment Manager right pane.

Note: Before the Leap Set can be used its Primary Station must be measured. |
Before using a Leap Set you are likely to want to add more Stations and References. By default there is no alignment object associated with the Primary Station. If you wish to establish a specific, reproducible coordinate system for the part, other than the device coordinate system, a Datum or Origin must be added to the definition of the Primary Station. See Setting the Primary Station Alignment for information on how to do this.
