Starting 3DCreator Digitizers
When starting 3DCreator digitizers you must first make sure that the components to be used are properly connected, the article to be digitized is placed within the working area of the camera sensor array, and that the probes and DRFs to be used can be positioned in useful proximity of the object and that there is an open line-of-sight between the tools and the camera sensor array.
To Start a 3DCreator Digitizer
Make sure that the 3DCreator camera array is securely mounted to the working surface or support apparatus and that it is properly connected.
|
Note: See your 3DCreator hardware documentation for specific instructions on how to properly mount the camera sensor array. |
Connect the desired tethered tools to the available ports on the front of the 3DCreater interface controller.
|
Note: The 3DCreator interface controller ports to which you connect specific tools must be configured in Probe Manager before you can begin collecting data. |
Power on the 3DCreator interface controller.
After a few seconds you hear a single beep followed by an ascending series of tones, about 20 seconds later, to signal the successful start-up of the 3DCreator interface controller.
Select on the RevWorks toolbar, or
select Probe Manager from the RevWorks menu in SolidWorks
and choose the probe you plan to use.
|
Note: If you are using a non-tethered stylus, be sure to turn the stylus on before proceeding to data collection. When not actively collecting data you may wish to turn the stylus off to conserve battery life. |
From the RevWorks toolbar or menu, select a feature to digitize (e.g.: line, circle, arc, etc.).
RevWorks automatically connects to your 3DCreator digitizer.
