About FARO Digitizers

 

FARO digitizers are rugged, articulated portable measurement arms. The complete FARO product line features several models ranging in size, accuracy, and freedom-of-movement configurations. FARO arms support probe exchange.

RevWorks communicates with FARO digitizers using a USB or serial device interface. There are substantial differences between FARO arms that support USB communications and those that use serial communications. For this reason, RevWorks provides a distinct interface for USB and serial arms. Refer to the sections associated with your type of device for specific information on its proper use.

In order to use a FARO digitizer with RevWorks, you must perform the following procedures:
