Setting the Profile Fit Tolerance

When collecting profile features, you can adjust a tolerance value that controls how tightly the feature’s tangent arcs and lines conform to the data collected. Smaller values for the Fit Tolerance result in more lines and arcs being generated. Larger tolerances result in more data smoothing and fewer component geometries.

Note: RevWorks displays measurements in the same units as the currently active part or assembly document. You can enter values in any other supported unit of measure by adding the recognized abbreviation after the value you enter.

To Set Profile Fit Tolerance

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
    or select
    Options… from the RevWorks menu.

The Options dialog appears.
