Setting the Freeform Scan Distance Interval Filter

When collecting freeform objects, such as surfaces and 3D splines, you can choose to apply a distance filter to the data stream to limit the amount of data collected. When no distance filter is applied all the points in the data stream are collected. The distance filter can be used to limit the amount of data collected by excluding data that is too close to the last point collected.

To Set the Distance Interval Filter

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
    or select
    Options… from the RevWorks menu

The Options dialog appears.

  1. In the Scanning tab, within the Freeform Data Collection – Interval Filters group, enter a Distance value.

  2. Select or deselect the Distance checkbox to activate or deactivate distance filtering
