Feature Preferences - Setting Automatic Plane Alignment
Setting Automatic Plane Alignment
If you plan to work with planes, you can set RevWorks to automatically align new planes with SOLIDWORKS default planes. Automatic plane alignment affects the alignment of sketch coordinates within the plane to the model coordinate system. When plane alignment is active, the edges of planes created by RevWorks are aligned similarly to the standard SOLIDWORKS planes. If inactive, the orientation of planes is determined by the vector between the first and second points collected. In no way does automatic plane alignment affect the position of planes in space.
At any time, you can enable or disable automatic plane alignment by performing the following procedures.
To Set Automatic Plane Alignment
-
From the RevWorks toolbar, select
,
or select Options… from the RevWorks menu.
The Options dialog appears.
-
In the Features tab, select the Plane feature type from the Property Tree to access its property options.
-
Select or deselect Align Planes checkbox to activate or deactivate plane alignment.
