MicroScribe Repair, Calibration, or Certification?

MicroScribe Repair, Calibration, or Certification?

Revware provides repair, calibration and certification services for the MicroScribe portable CMM arms. Our expert technicians use Revware’s Tri-Test Calibration Method and a suite of accuracy tests based on the ASME B89.4.22 Methods for Performance Evaluation of Articulated Arm Coordinate Measuring Machines.

Revware’s repair center is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

Certification:  Testing the device to ensure current operation within published specifications.  Certificate provided.

Calibration:   Programming and testing your device using the Tri-Test Calibration Method to ensure the device operates within specification. Certificate provided.

*Note* MicroScribe digitizers can, but do not often, lose calibration unless physical kinematic or electronic change has occurred.  In this case, the device may require repair.

Repair:   If your device does not operate within specification, it is likely that there has been physical kinematic or electronic  change to the device.  Causes for such change can include, but are not limited to, physical wear and tear to the device over time, environmental contamination (such as high heat, dust, or humidity), improper handling (impact damage, liquid intrusion), or improper powering (using an unapproved power source, lack of surge protection, using near high-static equipment).

You can use the MicroScribe Utility Software (MUS) 7.0 SPAT tools to check your device. By using the SPAT (Single Point Articulation Test) template provided with MUS 7, you can perform a simple SPAT test on your MicroScribe (results vary based on the technique of user).
