Measuring 2 Point Distances
Measuring 2 Point Distances
RevWorks, along with your digitizer, provides a Point to Point Distance function for measuring the 3D distance between two points.
|
Warning: Measuring distances using two points does not use Probe Compensation. |
To Measure a 2 Point Distance
-
From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
or select Measure > 2 Points > Point to Point from the RevWorks menu, in SOLIDWORKS.
A prompt appears leading you through the data collection steps.
-
Digitize two points.
RevWorks places the derived 3D-distance measurement on the clipboard. You can easily copy it to a field in any SOLIDWORKS dialog box, or to any other place that accepts text input.
|
Note: The distance value placed on the clipboard is the true 3D distance between the two points. If a ball probe is being used, the distance is between the ball centers. |
