Measuring Draft Angles

 

RevWorks, along with your digitizer, provides a Draft Angle function for measuring the acute draft angle between two planes in space.

To Measure a Draft Angle

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
    or select     Measure > Draft Angle from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.

A prompt appears leading you through the data collection steps.

  1. Digitize the first plane.

  2. Digitize the second plane.

RevWorks places the derived draft angle measurement on the clipboard. You can easily copy it to a field in any SOLIDWORKS dialog box, or to any other place that accepts text input.

    Note: The angle value placed on the clipboard is the acute angle between the two planes and is always less than 90°.
