Measuring Angles

 

RevWorks, along with your digitizer, provides an Angle function for measuring the angle between two planes in space.

To Measure an Angle

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
    or select     Measure > Angle from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.

A prompt appears leading you through the data collection steps.

  1. Digitize the first plane.

  2. Digitize the second plane.

RevWorks places the derived angle measurement on the clipboard. You can easily copy it to a field in any SOLIDWORKS dialog box, or to any other place that accepts text input.

Note: The angle value placed on the clipboard is the included angle between the two planes. The included angle is the angle that is less than 180°.
