Modifying Parametric Surfaces
Parametric surfaces are created as SOLIDWORKS surfaces lofted between multiple sketch sections that are derived from an original DirectSurf surface. DirectSurf parametric surfaces may be edited using any of the standard SOLIDWORKS methods.
To Edit a Parametric Surface

From the SOLIDWORKS feature tree, right mouse-click on the surface loft body you wish to modify and choose Edit Definition from the pop-up menu displayed.

In the Loft definition dialog presented, adjust the Profiles and Guide Curves listed as desired and select any other conditions that are appropriate.

Select OK to accept the changes.
SOLIDWORKS regenerates the surface loft.

Note: In some instances, the order of the lead end of some parametric surface profiles may invert from others in the lofting set. When this happens, simply edit the feature and re-pick the appropriate lead ends for the profiles before closing the dialog. |
