Creating a 3D Point at a Location

 

RevWorks creates 3D point features from a single digitized point. RevWorks does not compensate points or 3D geometry even if probe compensation is activated.

To Create a 3D Point

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
    or from the RevWorks toolbar right click on any displayed Point icon and choose 3D Points > Points,
    or select     Point > 3D Point > Points from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.

RevWorks prompts you to digitize a point.

  1. Digitize a location of the point on the part.

RevWorks automatically generates a 3D point feature from the collected data and draws it in the active SOLIDWORKS 3D sketch.
