Creating Points - Creating a Sketch Point at the Center of a Circle
Creating a Sketch Point at the Center of a Circle
RevWorks creates a circle-derived point at the center of a digitized circle. The points collected for the circle are projected to the active sketch plane before the circle is calculated. The center of the circle is then added as a point feature to the sketch. The calculated circle feature is not added to the sketch.
To Create a Point at the Center of a Circle
-
From the RevWorks toolbar, select
,
or from the RevWorks toolbar right click on any displayed Point icon and choose Sketch Point > Circle Center,
or select Point > Sketch Point > Circle Center from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.
RevWorks prompts you to begin digitizing points.
-
Digitize a minimum of three points, or digitize more points to generate a greater precision circle.
|
Note: RevWorks automatically calculates a circle and generates a point feature once you digitize the maximum number of points. |
-
If you collect more than three points, but less than the maximum number of points for a circle, select
or another completion option to calculate the feature.
RevWorks calculates a circle from the data collected and creates a point feature at the center of the circle. RevWorks displays the point on the current SOLIDWORKS sketch plane.
