Creating a Sketch Point at a Location

RevWorks creates point features from a single digitized point. RevWorks does not compensate points even if probe compensation is activated. 2D sketch points are always projected to the active sketch plane no matter how far away from the plane they were collected.

To Create a Sketch Point

  1. From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
or from the RevWorks toolbar right click on any displayed Point icon and choose Sketch Point > Points,
    or select
Point > Sketch Point > Points from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.

RevWorks prompts you to digitize a point.

  1. Digitize a location of the point on the part.

RevWorks automatically generates a point feature from the collected data and draws it on the active SOLIDWORKS sketch plane.
