Creating Arcs
RevWorks creates arcs from a set of three or more digitized points. If you collect more than three points, RevWorks applies an averaging algorithm to calculate the best arc through the data.
To Create an Arc
From the RevWorks toolbar, select ,
or select Arc from the RevWorks menu in SOLIDWORKS.
RevWorks prompts you to begin digitizing points.
Digitize a minimum of three points, or digitize more points to generate a greater precision arc.
|
Note: RevWorks automatically creates the arc feature once you digitize the maximum number of points. |
If you collect more than three points, but less than the maximum number of points for an arc, select or another completion option to calculate the feature.
RevWorks generates an arc from the collected data and draws it on the active SOLIDWORKS sketch plane.
|
Note: RevWorks draws an arc between the first and last point collected. RevWorks uses data that you collect outside of the bounding points in the calculation of the arc, but the data does not affect the arc’s length. |
