Can I use a USB Converter with my Serial port?

The MicroScribe arms containing serial ports are used in certain industrial applications where serial connections are used.  Current MicroScribe arms also contain USB ports and support USB connections.

MicroScribe models which contain serial communication only (MicroScribe 3D or 3DX) are end-of-life.  Some customers have reported success using a serial-to-USB converter, but Revware does not sell, support, or have a recommendation for converters since converters and computers vary greatly.
