How to Collect Data at a Set Time

  1. Click the Auto Scan icon . The Auto Scan tab will appear.
  2. Select the Time radio button, and in the Time text box enter a value for the time you would like to elapse between each point that is captured. The amount of time should be specified in milliseconds.
  3. In the main MUS window check the Enable Auto Scan check box .
  4. Hold down the trigger button of the hand switch or foot pedal and move the MicroScribe stylus over the object you are digitizing. A point will be taken each time the interval that you set in the tab has passed. It is important to not move the stylus too quickly when collecting points or some may be missed.
  5. When done using Auto Scan, uncheck Enable Auto Scan in the main MUS window .
  6. Follow the previous steps to set and use a different time interval.
