About CADpad

This feature provides an alternative interface for users to the software using the MicroScribe via a Grid of buttons or Mouse input.

The grid creates an area of input where the buttons on the hand switch (or foot pedal) cause the launch of macro-like events. These events can be RevWorks actions or, in future version, direct keyboard input.

The mouse emulation creates an area in which the stylus movement drives the mouse cursor, while the buttons on the hand switch or foot pedal behave as left and right mouse buttons; anything the mouse can do, the MicroScribe can emulate.

WARNING: When using both the Grid and Mouse features of CADpad simultaneously, be sure to set the alignments of the separate work areas (coordinate planes) for the two functions, to prevent errors from overlap. In the case there is an overlap, the Grid takes precedence.
